I couldn’t have asked for a better subject to write about for Center Parcs’ Village Life magazine than the wonders of the childhood imagination.

Apart from anything else, it gave me the opportunity to interview author and needle-felter Karin Celestine, author/illustrators Catherine Rayner and David Litchfield, and puppet-maker Joy Haynes – four inspiring individuals whose creative work fills the lives of children (and adults!) with imagination-fuelling magic each and every day.

Such a fascinating subject to cover – and one so huge that I could have exceeded the word count five times over! I will certainly be exploring some of the ideas further in my own time, and I do hope the feature encourages lots of creative play and outdoor adventures!
